Make Sold Out Button a link?

I searched and could not find an answer to this question. I would like to make the 'Sold Out' button link to another internal or external URL instead of just showing the image. I have a feeling it is something in the tpl_product_info.php page, but I don't know the proper coding to do this.

Has anyone done this, or know how to?

yes you are thinking the right file. code you need to add will be along the lines

<a href="http://whereyouwanago.com"> SOLD OUT </a>

Thank you for taking the time to reply. In that particular page, I cant simply add an href link. I think it needs a specific if-else statement that specifies when to make the image a link (when it is out of stock only).

Anyone else have an idea? thanks.

Well selection of button is already happening based on if product quantity is >0
having said that no further if/else is required
i will have a look for you in the morning, and write some exact code and where to insert it.
