my shopping cart is not saving items

I am not sure what is going on ,but if a customer adds an item to the cart and then tries to add another item from a different category , the previous item disappears. Only one item can appear in the cart.
according to my host account my links on the template are not keeping the session ID so the cart is cleared. What has happened? Please help.
This happens on all browsers.

The web site is www.retropup.com. It happens when changing categories to add new items.

The way you have chopped this up I suspect is the reason as you have non-Zen Cart pages at retropup . com and Cart pages at retropup . com/shop and at the latter there is no navigation and one must exit to get back to select another category

As far as I could see no pages at retropup . com are Zen Cart pages

Thank you for responding. the cart you viewed was the classic cart. It is now switched to the retopup cart. I am still having the same problem with the cart not saving . What do I do?

http://74.54.68.134/shop is not the same as http://retropup.com/shop Sessions are lost between the two and a new session is created everytime you go from page to page. All the site needs to be either
http://74.54.68.134/shop or http://retropup.com/shop - Not a mixture

In your includes/configure.php:
define('HTTP_SERVER', ' whats here? ');

I'd put in http://retropup.com/shop

http://74.54.68.134/shop is not the same as http://retropup.com/shop

Additionally, retropup . com is not the same as retropup . com/shop and the same thing happens.

Having a landing page while OK, using it as you are for cart navigation switching from retropup . com to retropup . com/shop is your problem.

Make your home/main Zen Cart page look like your page at retropup . com and this will correct itself

thank you for your time. what file would I change? also when I changed the configure.php I lost all of the images in the cart.It changed the whole design.
