I have a category I do not want people to be able to access but yet I want the parts listed under the category to be listed as links. I have found that if the category is set up as

Level 1-Category (disabled)
Level 2-Category (enabled and master category)
Level 3-Parts listing(linked to other locations on store)

The linked parts show up in the appropriate locations throughout the store. Since Level 1 which should show on the main page but is disabled, the customers have no place to access the category.

Are there problems which are not obvious with this approach?
