First Order Via website and problems

This is about the first order via my website. It is a two fold question:

1) I charge shipping on my site per weight. Customer paid the shipping there. Then she was directed to send payment through paypal and was charged shipping again. I want to keep the shipping on zencart but not on paypal because it charges a basic rate even if the package weight 40 lbs. How do i do this?

2) Order never showed up anywhere on my admin page. I wouldn't have known order came if it wasnt for a paypal email about money recieved. I went to items purchased - nothing. no record that purchase was made. i even purrchased an item off my own site and sent it through paypal and i still dont see any order. I do not have CC yet. Please help fix this

If you have PayPal set up to charge shipping, and you're using the Website Payments Standard (IPN) module in Zen Cart, then none of your orders will show up in Zen Cart. That is because Zen Cart validates the transactions on several things, including the price. If your PayPal account is configured to add shipping on top of what Zen Cart sends, then the price will never match ... and the order will never be validated in Zen Cart.

So, if you want to use PayPal Website Payments Standard, turn off all your shipping and tax options in your PayPal account.

Surely you did some test transactions before going live, and verified that they worked properly? If not ... well ... you'll know to do that next time.
