Multi-site Potential??

I'm evaluating using Zen cart for a client. I am setting up two sites, wholesale and retail, that will have two different brands, and two different URLs but will live on the exact same server. I want to use the same backend for both sites so as to eliminate redundant data entry. Has anyone successfully done this? Can anyone see an inherent problem with that?
