    Default Confused about meta tags

I changed the meta tags in my includes/languages/english/meta tags about 2 weeks ago now.

When I go into admin and look at a product meta tag option the tagline is showing my new wording.

Google has crawled my site twice since I made the changes. But the old wording is still showing when doing a google search and if I look on my main page under view source the old wording is still there.

Have I done something wrong or does it just take google quite a while to update.

    Thanks

Google reads the same thing that you see when you view your site in your browser.
If it's showing right on your browser, then eventually Google will see the same thing when they crawl those pages next.

I am sorry to appear so stupid......but can you please explain what you mean exactly.

If I look at my site www.fairytalefashions.co.uk and then do view page source, the old wording is there for my meta tags.

however, if I go into the zencart admin screen, look at a particular product and view the meta tag details then the new tagline is showing.

I am confused as to whether I have done something wrong or whether I just need to wait for google.

    thanks

If you look at page source and it's "right", then Google will get it "right" sometime when they come visit again.

If it's not "right", then yes, you've likely got something breaking the normal functionality. In that case, you'll need to describe everything that makes your site different from a brand new untouched install. What version of Zen Cart, what addons have you installed, what switches have you changed in the admin and why, etc. Does it happen on all products or just some? If you create a brand new product, does it happen to it too? What are all the settings you've set on the metatags page for that product?
