Hi Wonder if someone can help me with this. We sell voice recordings on our site so the customer sends us a text script and our studio does the voice recording. We need to be able to upload these voice recordings for the customer that purchased it and there are alot of customers purchasing recordings at a time so I can use a product for every purchase it would overload our product list. Is there any way to do this any help woudl be great thank you

If they have already purchased, loading the recordings up in Zen Cart would be an unnecessary overhead. Why not just upload the files to your site using FTP and email the customer a link to it?

Another approach is to setup the Product with the Download attribute set for a test.zip file ...

Then write a simple method to edit the Order and change the filename to the customer's real file after it is made ...

This would let you set the Payment Modules to Pending and not allow the download to work until you have changed the order to Processing or Complete and that would open the Order for downloading ...

This would take a bit of customization but it allows for utilizing the built in Download scheme for the files ...

Thanks for the responce, I did think about doing it like that but what happens if 5 people purchase at the same time. I would need to leave the download online for about 72 hours so every 72 hr I would have to upload the next customers order which means by the time customer 5 gets his production he has bought from someone else. FTP I dont want to use as I want to keep a record of the download and customers.

Using the builtin system - you use test.zip for the system BUT then you would upload the 5 files i.e.
fred.xxx
mary.xxx
etc
And edit the Order email with the correct link

Would have to write a "Simple" method and as Ajeh is a coder this is most likely "simple"

And Ajeh's proposal allows for not altering the default order process sans changing the initial order status to "pending"
