Language specific details not saved

I've deleted all languages except English (which is set as the default). The problem I have is that language specific details are not being saved. If I try to add a product & click 'preview' the language specific details are 'lost' but the other information is retained (such as price). If I save the product it is successfully entered into the DB (without product name/description etc). Can anyone help? I'm using v1.3.8.

I think the problem was a domain (& routing issue). I was accessing the server using an IP address (as the website I was developing was still hosted somewhere else). When I installed zencart the 'ultimate' domain name was used & then I changed the configure.php files to point to the 'actual' url. I think this caused the problems. I reinstalled Zen Cart using the 'ultimate url' & changed my hosts file (windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts) pointing my 'ultimate url' to the future hosting ip address. Now it works fine.
