Zen cart wont install for me

hello everyone!
im very very new to all this mysql/php/cart/shop/whatever things
I would like to open a shop online and i found zen cart *yay*
now, i've uploaded the version 1.3.7 and 1.3.8 on my server, i've followed exactly what the doc was saying, and when i click the "continue" button, everything just stop. Just after entering the mysql data, it says "installation in progress..." and wont move q,q

what did i do wrong????
do i have to wait some time (like an hour???? coz i've already waited longer than 20min but it wont do a thing)

you mean into seperate folders...

I suggest using version 1.3.8a as the Zen Cart version if you are just starting your online store-- as it has bug fixes that are not in 1.3.7

If your store is hanging during install, at the SQL screen- I'd check to verify that all the information you provided about your SQL server are correct... You also might consider using FireFox as the browser during install (as it tends to show errors more so then Internet Explorer).

ya of course separate folder XD

the thing is both version bug at the same place.
i checked and re checked and rere checked my mysql data, but it seems to be ok, the next page load and then, blank screen with only a "install in progress"

i'll try with firefox, to see if something change but im very helpless right now!
at first i thought it was a host thing, (i test zencart on 4 different host!) and everytime is the same thing

I suggest you buy the manual as it is very useful for getting started.
Then use only 1.3.8a and the latest version of XAMPP, disregard dated instructions in the manual.
Uninstall IIS from the Add/Remove Programs applet --> Remove Windows Components.
Check the manual's support site www.cucumbermedia.com for gotchas and errata and you should be good to go.

seems like it works allright...Was just a browser problem (i use firefox and it worked)
