Default SSL install slows down site

    Hi,

I'm not sure where to post this, so I apologize if it is in the wrong place. Also, please let me know if you think this might be a server issue and not a zencart issue.

I just installed geotrust SSL onto my site: http://www.nalaniscreations.com and suddenly it now takes over 10 seconds for each page to load. It worked fine before this. I found the instructions for "How do I enable SSL after I have installed Zen Cart?" in the tutorials section and followed those.

I would hate to have a secure site that nobody goes to because it's too slow!

    Thank you for your suggestions!

    -Nizara

Your SSL isn't installed properly. When I click on login, I get the Security Certificate Error page (in IE7).

It says that your certificate was provided by your site rather than geotrust.

Your home page is a little slow, but you have some pretty big images there (and elsewhere). You might want to make them smaller (in file size).

It does say that the security certificate is provided by me. Very weird. Any advice on how to fix that?

Thanks for the advice on the pictures. I will lower the resolution.

Oh, and I just disabled the SSL (I think) until I can figure out how to do it properly.

I am having the same issue with my site after installing a GoDaddy SSL Cert. Did you ever find a resolution for this?
