Zone Rates - Skip Countries not working

I have set up zone rates for overseas countries and I am using a different shipping module for local shipping which is in the uk, the problem I am having is that I have entered the uk country code 'GB' in the box where it says 'skip countries' in the zone rates.
What is happening is that when someone adds a product to their basket and clicks on 'estimate shipping' the following is still being shown in the box under the actual shipping price that another module has calculated 'Zone Rates (No shipping available to the selected country)' which I think will be confusing customers.
So basically when I add a country code in the skip countries box the country isn't been skipped.
Any help on the matter would be kindly appreciated - Thanks!

Just been having a root around in the zones.php file to see if there were any setting that could be altered there so that zones rates would not appear for great britain but all I could find that seemed to have any effect was this line;
// disable only when entire cart is free shipping

If I change the 'true' to 'false' it does turn off the module but it turns if off for all countries not just Great Britain.
Any one ideas of what I could enter into the zones.php code to stop zones showing only for Great Britain only.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I cannot reproduce your error ...

If I enter GB in the Skip Country ... when I have that address then I do not see the module at all ...

The only time I see that is if I enter an undefined country ... and that I can make disappear by entering a 00 in a Zone so that anyone not defined falls to those rates ...

What version of Zen Cart are you running?

Clean or an Upgrade?

What did you Upgrade from and how?

Thanks for your reply, I've just been reading through it and it's made me realise what I have done wrong - What I'd done is just enter GB into the 'skip zones' box without actually entering GB in the zone shipping table, I've now after reading your message entered GB into both the boxes and it's working fine - Many thanks again

Hi, I am having the same problem. I have add
Skip Countries, use a comma separated list of the two character ISO country codes
US, CA

These countries (US, CA) are also in the Zone 3 which I have defined as all other countries than GB (Zone 1) or Europe as defined by Royal Mail (Zone 2) and it still offers these from the drop down box when shipping to another address (I have also tried it without these (US, CA) in the Zone 3 section.

You cannot use the 2 character ISO codes in more than one definition ...

Either you want them Skipped -- or -- in one of the defined zones ... but they cannot be "Skipped" and "Defined" as part of a Zone at the same time ...

Hi Ajeh, thanks for replying but as I mentioned in my post I have tried it both with and without the country codes in then Zone 3 section (the only place they are in)

Could you go to the Modules ... Shipping ... and click on the Zone Rate zones 1 time so you can see the panel on the right with all of the settings and copy and paste them here?

Zone one defines up to 100 lbs ...

All the other Zones only go to 2 or 2.5 lbs ... once beyond that weight you will hit $0.00 on shipping ...

On the Skip Countries, the Zone Rate zones should disappear if a country is selected that is in the defined in the Skip Zone ...
