I need help figuring out how to change the buttons on my web site instead of just having some images over top them. i tried the tutorial and that zen cart button construction kit, none of those work.

my main concern is the "Next" "Previous" and "Return to product listing" buttons.

in the buttons stylesheet css i put the background image as the button name but when it would show up on the page, the red button is just a background instead of the actual button. so then i took that off and just changed the buttons.php to the names of the buttons i created and uploaded but instead of my new buttons showing up, its still the gray ones. its what the tutorials told me to do but nothing has changed so i'm lost at what to do next.

does this make more sense?

How about a link to your site and a link to the tutorial you are trying to follow

You can use created button sets as outlined in the tutorial or you can use css buttons - one or the other

What do you have set in

admin > config > layout settings > CSS Buttons > on or off??

im blind. that fixed the issue. it was on for the css buttons and i turned it off. thank you so much kobra!
