How many products can zen cart handle ?

I have 2000 products want to sell
can zencart handle it?

I maintain a site that has over 6000 products and not a problem

I'm planning on having lots of products on my site, 20,000 for starters with a possible 200,000 in the not-so-far future. I imagine this would be too much for zencart, if so, how can I incorporate this. Do I create more databases or just different prefixes to the databases. Any advice will be appreciated.

Zen Cart is only limited by the server that its ON ( and queries right now )
that will change in the future if I read everything right

I'm at 20k , still ok! Might have to disable search though..

Category counts are off of course, for the retail side..

I've been thinking about turning them off in admin.

Also to enable specials price I have to use the work around, manually add special price by item ID since it will time out if I try the standard way.

I wonder what ZC 2.0 will be like? I hope to get 100k products.

As many as the server can handle. Some people have close to 100,000 products and experience no problems.

Over 120,000 products and I do not think there is a limit with the cart it just depends on the server and it's configuration
