    Default Help with Colours

    Hi,

    I could really do with some help on colours.

    If you look on my site www.fairytalefashions.co.uk on the first page in the introduction I have set up links from the words Christmas and Halloween. These are red if you hover over them but I want them to be highlighted in blue so customers realise they can click on these links.

    How do I do this?

    In some of my products I have set up similar links eg. some dresses in the description link to matching shoes and bags. However the same problem arises as they are not highlighted in a contasting colour.

    Thanks

    In your stylesheet.css file for your template find and change or seperate and change this to your color
    Code:
    a:hover, #navEZPagesTOC ul li a:hover, #navMain ul li a:hover, #navSupp ul li a:hover, #navCatTabs ul li a:hover {
    	color: #FF0000;
    	}

    Thanks.....I have tried this but it just changes the hover colour from red to blue.

    What I cctually want to do is to have all my existing writing in the purple colour, leave my hover colour in red but have the link words highlighted in blue.

    this way all the writing will be purple, the words Christmas and Halloween will appear in blue and if you hover over them they will be red.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks

    I assume the this text is your define main page -
    Go to admin > tools > define page editor > select the html editor from the drop box > then select define_main_page.php to edit.

    Hghlight the word and in the tool bar select the test color to apply, repeat for other words. Save.

    Kobra,

    Please be patient with me I'm not at all technical.

    This is the code I have

    weddings,<strong> </strong><a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);" href="http://www.fairytalefashions.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=23">Christmas</a>, <a style="color: rgb(0, 0, 255);" href="http://www.fairytalefashions.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=22">Halloween</a>, ......or simply to have fun!

    How do I need to change it?

    thanks

    You might need to clear your browser cache as this looks correct and your site has the links and they are active

    Have cleared the cache but this is still not right.

    Any more suggestions?

    A similar thing is happening on other pages where I link dresses to shoes.....in these cases the link is not shown in the contrast blue colour but the hover colour is red as I want it to be.

    This problem is starting to drive me mad.

    Please let me know what you think.....and how to fix it.

    Thanks

    I see what you are referring to....

    How important is this and how much work/effort is it worth on your part?

    You will have to allow the standard a tags to be blue and red on hover and address all others individually in the style sheet.

    If this is what you want to do - Get FireFox if you do not have it now and the web developers, firebug, aardvark, extentions so that you can determine the all the tags you will need to address
