Default 406 Not Acceptable error with Define Pages

    I'm getting this error:
    406 Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /admin/define_pages_editor.php could not be found on this server.

I started off by uploading a define_shippinginfo.php page into my custom folder. I then realised I needed to make a minor change, so I used the Define Pages Editor and saved the change. Well and good.

I then uploaded define_conditions.php into my custom folder. On attempting to do the same kind of edit with the Define Pages Editor, I got this 406 error message when trying to save. I tried another file, the define_privacy.php page, same error.

What could have happened in the space of 10 minutes?

I tried re-uploading the define_pages_editor.php file but that hasn't helped.

You are using a word or words that your Hoster has determined to be unacceptable.

You can test by going back to the way the page was before the error then adding the new words, one by one. Could be as simple as a word like 'lynx' but you'll have to test each word.

Or, send the new wording to your Hosting Support and ask them which word(s) are not allowed. Might not be as fast as testing yourself though.

Thanks, I will ask the Host support.....

However, I tried to make a small change to a page which has the standard text -

    <p><strong>Page 2 Sample Text ...</strong></p>
<p>This section of text is from the Define Pages Editor located under Tools in the Admin.</p>
<p>To remove this section of the text, delete it from the Define Pages Editor.</p>

Whether I use plain text or HTMLarea, if I try to delete a word or two I get the same error message. It doesn't make sense to me because I made changes before using the Define Pages Editor without difficulty.

Anyway, I'll see what my host has to say.
