Default After host change, mysql backup giving error 1045

In my admin, I'm trying to use the mysql backup module, and when I click backup, it returns the error:

    Result code: 2
0 => mysqldump: Got error: 1045: Access denied for user '***removed***'@'localhost' (using password: YES) when trying to connect

site is www.canemasters.com running zc 1.3.8a

    new host info:
    php version is 5.2.5
    mysql version is 5.0.45-community
    Apache version1.3.41

Any ideas? I've reinstalled the backup mysql module, but it didn't help.

    Thank you.

You should only see that if your database details in your /admin/includes/configure.php file are incorrect. But then you wouldn't be able to get into your admin area to even start the backup.

Or perhaps you've not given all permissions to the username you linked to the database?

I checked everything that you mentioned, but I can't find any problem. I even reinstalled the backup utility, and still no go. It doesn't make any sense... If the password or something else was wrong, the whole site wouldn't work.

What has your Hoster said when you advised them of the problem?

From this and other posts you've posted recently, you seem to be having more than your fair share of Hosting problems.

The hosting problems are gone. I like my new host. This is a new problem. It may be host related. Maybe they have something locked down... who knows. I wish I could afford a T3 so I can host it myself. That would be idea. I'd even settle for a T1. Hook it all up to solar panels.

    ... that's for a different thread though.

Could special characters in my database password be preventing this mod from working? I'll make a password up here... say I use "SAJF*3asfJASF(*S$@>>FJEi" for a password. Would there be any problem?

A T-1 would be terrible for www traffic as most providers are on Multi-OC-48 or OC-192 trunks

    T-1 - 1.544 megabits per second (24 DS0 lines)
    T-3 - 43.232 megabits per second (28 T-1s)
    OC-3 - 155 megabits per second (100 T-1s)
    OC-12 - 622 megabits per second (4 OC3s)
    OC-48 - 2.5 gigabits per seconds (4 OC12s)
    OC-192 - 9.6 gigabits per second (4 OC48s)

What permissions have you granted to the MySQL user for the database you're using?

I checked the box, all permissions. All of them are checked. Heres a screenshot:

Okay, my host told me that it was the special characters in my database password, and they were right. Problem is solved. I removed the special charcters like ^, <, % and (), and now the backup performs perfect.

    Thank you for your help.
