    Default Css/Main Page issue..

Hi all im new to the forum..

Ive spent some time looking for answers to these but as of yet no luck so im guessing they are not possible..

But on the off chance i will give it a punt here..

I apologise if this has been answered elsewhere or blatantly obvious..

ok.. firstly, is it possible to edit the stylesheet.css file which is in my template in admin in anyway, i know this can be done to other files so wondering if it can for this file.

my second query is that my site is using a template and i want to include some text on the home page.. Now im guesing i can create the text via define page editor by editing define_main_page.php BUT as im using a template the link that pulls this data has gone so my question would be what code would i have to inculde on my actual tpl_main_page.php to include this text...

I guess i could juts add it straight to that file but would be far easier if i could use the admin if i need to update or edit...

anyway, im sorry if these have been answered elsewhere..
and im gratefull for any responcses this may generate..

    thanks

The Tutorials/FAQ's in the top nav bar here ^^ are a good source for these basic issues

Are you wanting to edit the css for the admin area or for your visible site?

Well this confused me - but yes you can edit this file that will be at inlcudes/templates/your_template/css/stylesheet.css

There is no method to do so from the admin though - you have to FTP the file to your PC edit it using a plain text or good code editor(not word or nay of the wysiwyg editors) Save it and FTP it back to your host account

Thanks Kobra and sorry for the confusion.

You got it right as that is what i meant, no worries i dont expect to be editing the file everyday so will just have to carry on editing it the normal ftp way..

    Thanks...
