Cannot register any customers

I have installed ZenCart. I was testing everything and I am unable to use it because customers cannot register. When you go to my shop, and try to create an account, I either get error messages or a blank page. I have narrowed this down to email configuration problems. I have talked with the host who said I should use sendmail as the email configuration. Unfortunately, it is still not working. Any ideas? Any documentation on how to configure email to allow ZenCart to work?

Thank you Kobra!! I am going to install the debugger... I wasn't sure if there was one available or not. I'll see how it goes ;)
