duplicate IP addressess

Right now it shows I have 24 customers, but 2 unique users and 22 duplicate IP addresses. It looks like every page they visit is shown twice like this:

/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=9

and like this:
/toys-c-9.html
the same page!

can someone pls. tell me why is this happening???

Sounds like something is wrong with an SEO mod you have installed... or maybe they are following links to a pre-SEO page and somehow showing up twice?

Thank you Glenn. It did not used to happen (at least not that I recall) untill yesterday, when I installed SSL certificate...could I have messed up something when I was changing "configure files" for that SSL thing????

I am having the same sort of problem. I am still in the construction stage and am regularly visiting my site through the front door to see how a customer sees it. I have the site down for maintenance and am only allowing my computer and a friends computer through. It is both our IP addresses that are showing up in multiples. We were showing up to 11 visitors on line at one stage when in reality there was only two of us. At one stage every time my friend refreshed his page another user was added. I too have only had SSL added today but am not sure if this is the problem. I am only using the Paypal express payment module and I was wondering if it may have anything to do with the automatic creation of accounts setting. I will keep posted here what I work out and would appreciate any ideas anyone else has. Regards Simon
