Cant remove model and quantity from product display page

i dont want customer to see model and quantity in stock...i tryed going to conf, product listing and changed values to 0.1.2 even left it black, bit it still shows model and quantity in stock...how to i remove them, please help

Go to Admin, Catalog, Product Type, Product - General and edit layout. Turn off quantity in stock and model. That should do it for you.

where does one turn it off on the category pages?

For the Product Listing ... did you check the settings in the Configuration ... Product Listing ...

0 = OFF and any other value is the display order ...
