    Default how can I make a two layered in the menu?

    How can I add another level to the menu, so if you clicked on ‘products’ the menu below would have links to the product's page’s?

    This is the menu I have at the moment;

    And this is what I’m trying to achieve;

    As you can see, Ive already put the ‘home’ and ‘log in’ menu on the same level as the product categories menu. Im sure this is going to be difficult but if someone could point me in the right direction I would do my best to write a tutorial for how to do this, as Im sure other people would be interested. thanks. james

    There is at least one categories-tabs dropdown menu mod in Downloads. You may be able to modify that to get the look you want.

    Any ideas how I would modify that?

    I've made some progress by copying all of tpl_index_categories.php into
    into tpl_header.php .

    This makes another menu like I wanted, and it works when navigating around the product categories, but when I go to Home, Log In or Contact Us nothing appears in the main page.

    Does it sound like im close to figuring this out?

    Glenn,

    I was thinking that even if editing the drop down menu was to work, there would still be a problem. When you clicked on the link, it would take you to the product page and the menu would reset and 'fold back up'. Im sure you could get round this some way but zen cart has a breadcrumb feature, would it be easier to modify that?

    At the moment the breadcrumb reads;

    Home - Gems - Green Gems - 20mm Green Gems product page.

    I would want to remove the 'Home' and 'Gems' link as those links are already in my menu.

    I would then need the 'Green Gems' (2nd menu level) to list all the other categories (Blue Gems, Red Gems, etc).
    'Green Gems' would need to be bold or highlighted in some way so that 'tab' was visually marked. Im guessing an html mark for the CSS to edit is best for this.

    Do you think this might be the way to go?
