Cant Create Account...

Can't seem to create accounts, even when I switch back to the default template. It just keeps basically refreshing the page when you hit submit.

Searched the forums here and didnt see any other previous threads with the problem Im having, some where kind of close but the 'fixes' used in those threads didnt help.

Your submit button is linked to the sign in page?

Run the debug utility found in the download section - that should shed some light on things for you!

Which is the template for that create account page ?

Also are you talking about this debug tool?

and it says set the permissions to writeable thats 666 right?

Im running another zencart site using the same template. Can I use that php whichever one it is for the create account page? ( not sure which php file it is )

Yes that's the one. Your cache file needs to be writable in order for you to get the error log.

Once you determine the problem file, recommended solution is to copy that file from a fresh download of ZenCart (same version you are using!)

I installed it as per the instructions and none of the logs are in there. I'm missing something and going crazy in the process. Spent way to long on something that is going to hit me in the face.

First Debug didn't find any errors because the page is doing exactly want it is saying to do.

Looked at all the login and/or customer account php's and compared them to a fresh download of ZenCart - saw many differences, but none that should be giving this error.

Where can I find the problem with this page looping back upon itself?

Replaced tpl_create_account_default, tpl_create_account_success_default, and tpl_modules_create_account from a fresh zencart 1.3.8a zipfile and still same thing.

Been 11 days still cant figure this thing out, anyone else having this problem or have a solution/suggestion?

Get yourself a thick cushion because here comes the hit in the face.

You are using a TemplateMonster Template and thus, your problem(s) are automatically revealed. TM Templates for the most part, do not play nice with Zen Cart.

For example:

go to your login page (not the Create an Account page) and without entering any information, click the Login button.

Error msg.: There was a security error when trying to login.

Click the Submit button at the bottom and no errors are generated; which is not right.


Unfortunately, like many others who purchased a TM Template, you will need to sit down and work the problems or use the Commercial Section of the Forum to find someone to do it for you.
