Default Intergrating Zen Cart into 1 prebuilt product page - Help

Ok - Here is my problem:

We had a website built for us www.beerants.com and now we want to add a shopping cart to it.

I have installed Zen Cart and want to set it so that it will intergrate into the one product page that we have. That is the only page that we want people to see.

Basically what I need to know is how to cut the add to cart button out of the product page in Zen Cart and add it to my page so that when some clicks it they will get taken to the Zen Cart Checkout Page.

Are there any tutorials on how to do this or can anyone tell me what I need to do to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

Zen Cart doesn't work that way. It's not a backend processor.

Easiest way it to either rebuild the site using ZC (not as big a task as you may think) or simply add a paypal button.

There was some discussion on the forum about using a splash page for a single product and taking the user right to the shopping cart from there. You might want to do a search for it.

It would not be difficult to put that page content into define_main_page.php and go from that to the shopping cart. The only real work would be isolating the add to cart form functionality from say tpl_product_info_display.php and putting it into the define page.

    Ok - how about this.

When they click on an add item to cart button beerants.com it links to a page in the zen cart that automatically adds an item to the cart and then takes them to the cart.

Is there anyway to do that.

There has to be some way to just have a link that populates the cart with 1 item.

Is there anyway to do this.

The link I am using now is:
    http://beerants.com/zencart/index.ph...on=add_product

It takes people to the cart - but doesn't populate it with the 1 item.

If someone could help me - I could get this done with and would be forever grateful.

Zen Cart looks like a bit of overkill for this

why don't you try something like Mals ecart just add a link to the product and all is done. the free version is all you need.

I need to use Zen Cart for some of the exporting features and some of the other customization.

Please can anyone tell me how to do what I want to do - if you can do this, i would be forever grateful.

The most robust and probably easiest way to do this is to put your main page content into Zen Cart's define_main_page.php. Put the header image in the ZC header and the footer content/styling into the ZC footer.
Turn off or disable sidebars, header bars, etc. as required, and all that is left is transplanting the form link code into the button area of your main page.
