Question,
For those of you who use printable GCs in your shops, have you edited your GC FAQ pages to reflect the addition of the printable GC process or have you left these alone and just added the info on the printable GC product description page?
After reading through the various postings about printables I went ahead and added them to my shop. My shop is very new (only launched a week ago) so who knows how the whole thing will work out but while adding them last night, I had this idea. I want to share it with you in case it can benefit others here. I created THEMED printable gcs. I sell t-shirts, necklaces, hoodies and so on directed towards the urban and extreme sports worlds so I made full page GCs that are themed to these two worlds. Over the next couple of weeks I will add more themes for my customers to choose from.
I created them in photoshop as templates and as people purchase them, I will simply generate the gc code, drop it into the template along with a From, To and Message from the purchaser, print it as a PDF and email it.
The one good thing about creating a full page (8.5x11) is that it's an easy print from any home printer, and I get to also create another MARKETING TOOL in the process by integrating one of our products into the design. You can take a look at my shop to see what I am talking about:

I listed the printables as a product (not using the GIFT- prefix) and set it to "Yes, skip shipping" making it a virtual product. I believe this was the right way to do it to avoid a need for a shipping address.
Hope this idea works for others. I am happy with it and I hope it works out.
Thanks
