How to make newly added products NOT show up in the New Products listing?

I'm re-configuring an existing store to use ZenCart, and as such, many of the products are "old". I don't necessarily want all of them to show up in the New Products listing, but this apparently goes by the date you add them to the ZenCart Product List. Since I've just added all of them, ZenCart thinks they are all "new".

Is there some way to change the "added date" or other setting such that I can make them a few years old so they don't show up in the New Products Listing? I didn't see a way to edit this directly.

You would need to edit the products table via phpMyAdmin and change the products_date_added field to be older than your setting for the New Products that you are using ...

Thanks, I suspected as much. That would be a useful parameter to have be editable from within ZenCart.
