That is true that it does present other items in that category that might of interest however from an seo perspective if we can change the products on weekly basis that would enable google to beable to index those pages better therefore further increasing the page rank on those pages. That is what we are more concerned about at this moment as a large percentage of our customers will search for an item before using the category pages to search for a product.

You will have to edit a copy for your overrides of each one of these files and take out the randomize function

After taking out the randomize fuction what then would you need to do to be able to be able to command those boxes to automatically generate new products weekly?

You will have to get clever and there are some admin settings for the date range for these and then edit the added on date directly(manually) in the DB for the ones that you want dropped and others that you want added.

No automatic way that I am aware of
