Can't login to admin after migration?!

Hi guys,

Basically I've been helping a guy I know set up a webshop with zencart, he had a domain name, then decided to change it, so the host just migrated everything across to the new domain.

The shop itself seems to be working fine (aside from when you click on a product it says "not found") But the problem is I can;t get into the admin area. When I goto www.thesiteimtalkingabout.com/admin and it asks me for the username and password (never changed from default admin/admin) and I type it in, it just dosn't do anything?

I tried the "resend password" to admin email address, but it's not showing up in my inbox. Is there a way to reset this somehow or am I stuck and going to have to delete the whole thing and start again?

I would also be interested to see ho you can re-set password.

I didn't mirgate host, but change server platform.

As a result i have had to re-install Zencart because the backup failed to get me back to square one with Zen that I had on the other platform.

At first I just tried to update my Config and DB files but this still wouldn't work so did a full install.

I set the Admin names etc and password etc as before. As soon as I hit the admin log-in page it accepts the Admin Name and Password but refuses to budge from the Log-in page.

I thought I had messed up, being new to Zen, so did a full install again. Still the same end result so opted to resend password.

This gave me an entirely different password to the one set so tried that. It seems to accept it but again refusees to budge from the log-in page.

Help as now stuck for ideas.

I tried the tutorial option

DELETE FROM admin WHERE admin_name = 'Admin';
INSERT INTO admin (admin_name, admin_email, admin_pass, admin_level)
VALUES ('Admin', 'admin@localhost', '351683ea4e19efe34874b501fdbf9792:9b', 1);

from phpmyadmin from my hosts control panel.

It tells me that it sucessfully executed but still no joy.

I then tried the above but replace @localhost with @mysq......... as per my Zencart settings and this too executed sucessfully.

Still no joy.

It still refuses to budge off of the Login page.

Really stuck now but don't want to give up on Zen as was doing OK setting it up and think it will a the right software for my site.

I tried to re-install etc etc but still no joy.

It was fine when on Windows server but was unable to change file properties so moved to Linux (where it should have been in the first place, but that's another story )

First, check the two configure.php files on your server that they are setup correctly with the right paths and database name and password ...
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

If your Catalog works, then that data should be relative to that file ...

NOTE: Currently, I cannot get to your admin at all as it behaves like an invalid URL ...
