Will Pay You For Shipping Help!!

Hey there, my client is willing to pay for shipping help.

The store is: http://www.bestbuy-furniture.com
and are using Google Checkout as our primary payment method.

What's the issue we are having?

My client sells furniture, they PROVIDE THEIR OWN SHIPPING. Here is a simple list of their rates.

1 -10 miles $50
10-20 miles $80
20-50 miles $120
50- 70 miles $200
70- 100 miles $250
Over 100 miles must be picked up at store.


How can we calculate the distance from the store to the customer, and calculate the price, then feed it over to Google Checkout?

Even if we were to create a more basic algorithm like $X.XX per Mile, that would work too. Google Checkout modules comes with various PHP shipping files in:

/googlecheckout/shipping_generator/
/googlecheckout/shipping_metrics/

Does anyone have any clue as to how to modify the PHP to calculate something similar to the above rates? Is it even possible?

Do a search on Ceon. Conor has what you need (I run it on my store) but I'm not allowed to post a link as it is commercial software.

From the manual:
If geolocation support has been created for the country the store's shipping address is in, specific shipping rates can be set up for customers whose addresses are within a certain distance of the store's shipping address.

Configuring a region for geolocation is simple. The only option to be configured is the value for the Distance From Store. This will be in Km or Miles depending upon the national unit for the country the store's shipping address is in. (For the UK this is miles).

Thanks for the notice. I did have a look at the module before but wasn't sure if it would handle our needs. The other concern I have is does this module work with Google Checkout. In other words, will it be able to pass the shipping data and pricing over to Google Checkout?
