extra shipping charge on certain items

I have run into a problem and cant seem to find the answer i need. So far ZC has worked great but we just picked up a few new products that have a special handling rate. Is there a way to ad this extra charge to a table shipping rate for a few products or have these products have their own shipping charge?

Take a look at this thread as it might be applicable. With Ajeh's help I was able to work through a similar issue, basically forcing a certain shipping option when a particular item was placed in the cart.
