Site Map In Information Box

Hi, i got rid of the site map under the information side box. I was wondering do i need this for easy index through google, and will it make it easier for google robots to index my site?

If so, how qould i get it to display again under the Information side box, because i cant remember how i got rid of it in the 1st place

Go to Configuration > Define Page Status and look at the Define Site Map Status field. Set the value to 0 or 1 to turn on your site map again.

It's a good idea to leave the site map on as it helps spiders index your site more efficiently.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. I was wondering at option 2 = Link OFF, Define Text ON. Does that mean the site map is on, but only the link is not displayed, and would that make a difference. Thanks

Yes, it means the site map is still accessible although the link in the sidebox is off. Your user defined text on the site map will also be available.

This option is useful when you want to place your site map link in another part of your store (e.g. page header) instead of the sidebox.
