How do i make my zencart to show sidebox header image properly.

Hi,

I dont know whether i am writing to correct thread or not!! Please forgive if so!!

I have changed my /includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes/tpl_categories.php to adapt my own css category menu.

But since i have done that my header backgrownd image is not aligning properly. It appears correctly in IE7 but not in mozzila. Whenever i change it to the original i get my alignment back.

Mozzila browzer thinks that the categories menu has no contents in it even though it has around 6 lines and it shows the next header just after my categories header and overlaps with my categories menu. All other header backgrounds below that are properly aligned.

Please can someone help me?? What i need to change?? How will my browser come to know that my menu ends at dfferent place?? Is it through CSS or PHP??

Hi kim,

Thanks for showing interest to help. I solved the problem by adding dummy blank image at the end of the php script file of tpl_categories. May be not a convincing solution but works fine for me.

Were you aware you should not be doing it that way?
For customizing default files you should be using the Overrides system and would end up with using:

/includes/templates/your_template/sideboxes/tpl_categories.php
