Default Image problem and multiple product listings

Guess it is ok to ask a couple questions in same thread.

I am getting multiple product listings showing up.

    You can see here
. They are showing up this way in the side bar too.

And then I am not able to get images to show up.

They appear when I "preview" the listing.

I have been browsing for the images and taking them off my hard drive.

I am not sure about the "upload to directory" box. I have it on "main directory", but not really sure if I am using this box correctly or what it is for.

It may be the image problem?

What folder are your images being saved to when you create the product listing?

Check to make sure the path specified in your admin/add products exists.

Main Directory is the default setting that would save the image to the /images folder.

Do you have a /images folder or is there another level BEFORE the /images.

    Example: public_html/images or public_html/whatever/images

Not sure what is meant by making sure path exists for the admin/add products exists means.

I now see that the images I had been trying to use were being sent to a images folder. Public_html/taogemst_myzencart/images.

I have removed them from there.

No there is not a folder before the image folder. It goes like Public_html/taogemst_myzencart/images

Don't think you would mean the taogemst_myzencart folder?

So sounds like I need to create either one overall folder of some kind prior to the images folder?

If so, maybe several folders? If so, not sure how I would determine what separates one folder name from another. Maybe by product categories?

I did find a pinned thread about images. Talking about size difference in pictures and such. Honestly, had trouble understanding. The one thing I did notice and did verify is that all three of the image sizes from within my admin/config/images are the same 100 x 80.

Beyond that, for now I am going to have to live with slow loading pages or image quality because I have not a clue about the bulk batch uploading part for the several hundred images I have.

Because of the product I sell, the size difference between large and small is not going to be all that much. So image quality and image file size should be very similar, and hopefully not result in poor quality or contribute to slow loading pages.

    Make sense?

Any way..... back to the possible need to create additional image folders prior to the present image folder.

Will wait to hear back with possible suggestions from you before I go and start creating a bunch of folders.

    Thanks for responding..

Thanks to Tina, I am all squared away with this.

Just for the record. My image titles were too long. That is why they would not show up.

Then, for what ever reason, that fixed the problem of duplicate product titles. Not sure about that connection to the lengthy image titles, but all is well.

    Thanks Tina!
