Setting up a minimum order

I am new to Zen Cart and intend to use it to setup a small site selling a selection of hand made quality greeting cards. The idea is we want to set a minimum order of £12.50 and offer free P&P on all orders over £12.50. This is because it's simply not economically viable to process and deliver orders any smaller. As crazy at it sounds, there are a few customers who try to buy a single card for £1.00 and expect free postage and packing which averages out at £1.86 per order!!

Can anyone advise it it is still possible to setup a minimum order script or if a facility already exists in Zen Cart? Also, can anyone advise on a really (really) basic guide on installing additional modules if one is required to get minimum order working?

Please excuse my ignorance. I little PHP or SQL knowledge. The fact that I managed to install Zen Cart on my web server (Little Oak) yesterday without a single issue was a miracle!

There is not a minimum order built into Zen Cart, but there is a Low Order Fee - Perhaps a fee of 5.00 for any order under 12.50 plus shipping on those orders would make a few extra sales and some extra profit?

Or use the free shipping in order totals and set the minimum there to 12.50.

Not used it myself...may need updating to latest zencart version..
