Install completes but store won't launch

I've now tried clean installations of both 1.3.8 and 1.3.8a on Leopard Server 10.5.2. Both failed in exactly the same way. I get to the end of the installation and am told that this installation was successful:

Congratulations!

You have successfully installed Zen Cart™ on your system!

Yet, when I click to the store home page, it's blank; and when I click to the Admin home page I get:

The files ARE there, and, in desperation, I had done the entire installation with ALL files and folders set to 777. The permissions on the files are still 777, so permissions are not the issue.

After three clean installations, should I give up, or does this product ever get past the starting gate on Mac OS X?

include_path='/usr/local/share:/usr/local/bin:$php_dir'

If you can update your server's PHP configuration so that the include_path includes "." (current directory) as an includable path, it should work just fine.

ie: in your case, add ".:" to the start of the existing include_path setting (without the double-quotes, of course)

It does, thanks.

This does make a little nervous, however, since other php products I've used have had problems with the dot in the path. We'll see how it goes.

Now, I just have to figure out why themes are not working.... I can only see the default in the list.
