OK, I made a dumb mistake. I created a local version of my online store and have forgotten the admin name and password. I have access to the files so can someone tell me where to look for that info. Thanks,Ron

I´ve read the FAQ
and it says if you loose your account or password .. press lost password..
I know my password, but I dont remember my accountlogin name..:)
Anyway of bringing that fourth?
Except accessing the db.
You'll have to browse the "admin" table in your database, using phpMyAdmin provided by your hosting company.

I have a problem with the admin name and password also. I have done the fix on this tread, it has worked yesterday. Now I can not log in in again.
I also had made a back up log in which does not work. It seems that my program is not not remember after a day. I have been using this for a few month and just in the last week have had this problem. Any suggestions would be very helpful, thank you, Ron
Browse the admin table in the database and see if the admin you setup yesterday is still in there or if there is a different one all together. If it still there verify the email address listed, if it ha been changed I might suspect someone has access to the database and changed it.

I am not sure, as I am not too good with msql, but from what I can see in admin it shows my [email protected] and admin@local host, which I believe was in that code. Was I suppose to change the code with my email address? I thought that was done in the set up? I will try and paste the code into the php admin again and see if I get in but I still need to find out what is going on if you can help?
Thanks
Ron
No the default admin you add by using the sql will allow you to get into the store admin and then you can go to tools>admin settings and verify the settings for your admin user and change the password to something you can remember. Also remember after getting the user setup to delete the default admin user the sql sets up

Ok, I deleted the default Admin log in and now just have one which I set up and it seems to be working. I guess the problem was in that all I did before was to change the password in the default admin log in.
Thank you again for your help.
