Restrict Ordering Process for One Customer / Group

Hi there, I've looked all over the forum but cant find an answer to this question; I need to limit the ordering process for one of my customers, not all of them.

I need to be able to approve their order before it is completed, but without affecting the other customers in my store.

So they can go through the checkout process but I need to say 'yup all is ok' before they actually get debited / confirmation of order. Their order is 'pending' until I approve it.

Like I said above, this cannot affect other customers.

You would need quite a bit of customization done for this as nothing is built into Zen Cart at this time ...

Perhaps posting in the Commercial Help Wanted would be your best bet on this ...

what would be the quickest workaround... is there a way of restricting the ability of the visitor to order anything but when they press 'add to basket' (or something) the site admin is notified and can manage the order from their end?

im just relaying the request ive received in the hope of a compromise if nothing is built into zc itself!

You might check for a Purchase Order add-on and try to adapt it to your needs ...
