How to show the featured product in the main page?

I succesfully show my "new product for (month)" in my main page but i have problem regarding in how to show the featured product in the main page. I have set in the admin (index listing value) but i am not sure if i do it right, and i dont know if the upload and edit to some of the includes content affects it. My site is http://seahorse21.com/. and the index listing value that i have set are below. Please help me regarding this problem.

show featured products on main page 2
show special products on main page 0
show upcoming products on main page 0
