Is there an option from the admin panel that gives visitors to the site the option to view just the most recently added items?

Hi there!

I'm trying to limit the number of New Products that appear the in the New Products Sidebox to one, because right now is set to three and it practically always repeat the same three products.

any ideas how can i do that?
