hi all,
How can I manually remove customers from product notifications. I don't see an option to edit that under customer details.

You can edit the table in phpMyAdmin. The table is called products_notifications. It contains 3 things: products_id, customers_id & date_added. You will need to know the customer id and the product id to manually remove the specific notification.
Somebody might be able to tell you how to use the Install SQL Patch feature in your Zen Cart Admin area, if it's possible.Steve
