Can sidebox headers be removed?

Hi all-

I removed the header-text from the sideboxes, but there are still gaps between the boxes. I am taking this to mean (I could be wrong) that there are still headers, even though there is no text.

Is there any way for me to say "No headers!" or to minimize the height of the headers to 0 so that the sideboxes fit together a little bit better? there is some spacing between the top of the page and the two images (which are blank sideboxes), and then space between those images(blank sideboxes) and the categories and pages lists.

Anyone have any suggestions for removing the unecessary spaces??
