    Default Godaddy installation problem

    Hi,
Here is the error I get when I try to go to the admin section. The store front comes up ok it is just when I try to access the admin section. I did get a curl error but I am not trying to get the ssl going yet.

    The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Has anyone encounter this problem before?

    Thank you
    Melinda

I've not had THAT issue with godaddy. Check your admin files - are they all there? Are any corrupted?

Did you install ZenCart directly or thru goDaddy Connection?

    Hi,
I installed via Godaddy FTP. What did I do wrong? If I can get this installed I think I will buy the book.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Do you mean you did it from Godaddy control panel or you use another FTP like
FileZilla. If you did it from there control panel maybe you will need to download

FileZilla and upload your files again. I have Godaddy as my hosting account and I ran into that problem also when trying to upload files using there FTP. Hope this helps.

Yes, I used the godaddy FTP from the control panel. I will download filezilla.

    Thanks for your help.

I tried to reinstall (a fresh install deleted database and directory and started over) and I am still getting the same errors.
Does the book go into more installation issues or what am I doing wrong.

    Thank you

What you need to do is go to your Control Panel/Content/GoDaddy Hosting Connection. Once you are in there click on ecommerce solutions then zen cart. Click install and in seconds you have everything you need. You don't need to use the ftp at all, to install. Good Luck.

    Hello.

I also have GoDaddy, and used their automated install for ZenCart and I am experiencing the same problem when trying to go to my Admin section. Does anyone else have another possible solution?

I am running this from a domain which is using a shared host account with another domain of mine (basically the main domain is www.domain.com, and on that host account I have a subdirectory called zen). I then bought a new domain, and am pointing it to this subdirectory for all of the website files. Not sure if that is what is causing the issue, but I thought I would mention it. Any help would be wonderful. Thanks.

    Tiffany
