ok, seems to me I'm over thinking the issue...I only need the certificate info to add in the admin area?

Did your Hoster not also tell you the above was for information purposes only?
There is nothing you can "do" with the information, except record it but it is the same information you find here:
Admin > Tools > Server/Version Info -- search the page for 'curl'
What Cert info would you be referring to?I only need the certificate info to add in the admin area?
