Check out without account

I'm brand new to Zen-Cart. I've spent the last two days reading faqs and forums. I'm trying to figure out what is the latest / best solution for check out without account?

I found this post:

It indicates that "Easy Sign Up & Login" was last modified 2/3/2008 for the "latest version of CWOA". What is that "CWOA" referring to? Is that another product?

Need to get this going very quickly and already I've spent days trying to find the right/current solution. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

P.S. I tried to search this specific forum but when I clicked on "Search" nothing happened!

Also: is the feature suppposed to be in Zen-Cart 1.4? When is that scheduled to be released? I couldn't find that info anywhere either. Thanks.

I don't know when zencart 1.4 comes out or not, but COWOA means check out without account.

You will need Easy Sign up and Login to install and you will see check out without account if you test by checking out.

What has been referred to as v1.4 is now scheduled to be released as v2.0, since it contains so much fundamental change in the code structure, and will come out starting as a public beta over the next few months.

There is no significant change to the checkout; that is scheduled for a future version (the next major version).
