Turn off Shopping Cart and Checkout

I searched around for this for a while and haven't had any luck. I want to completely turn off the ability to check out and ability to have a shopping cart. Right now, I'm just looking to display inventory in a catalog based system without any option to purchase online. However, that could be a possibility in the future.

I really hope this is possible, of all the commerce cms' I've looked at, Zen Cart looks the most promising.

Instead of creating another topic... I have another question.

I'm looking to change the Contact Us text that displays instead of "Add To Cart" to a phone number or an email address.

The problem I have is that when a user submits the contact form, the current page they are on is in no way tied to the contact form. Essentially, I either want a way tie the product page they are viewing into the contact form, or to just replace the Contact Us text and link with a phone number and or email address.

Hopefully this makes sense, if not, just ask and I'll try to clarify.

It looks like you want the product that the customer is viewing to be sent to you without any action on the customer's part.

I'll have to think about that.

Well, not exactly... what I'm thinking is that somehow the current page address gets pulled into a hidden field or something like that and then when the Contact Us link is clicked, that information is carried along and then sent if/when the user submits the form.

I realize this is a difficult task and while it would be ideal, it's not necessary at all.

If I could just either remove the Contact Us text or replace it with an email address or other contact information (i.e. phone number) that would be sufficient.

If you search the Forum and be a bit creative with the use of "Contact Form", you will find a thread about this. I recall reading it a month or so ago but no idea where it is. Or perhaps check the downloads section as I'm not sure if it was custom coding or a Mod that was discussed. The bright side is there is a way to do what you want.
