Hello once again fellow Zenners!
I have a question about changing domains/hosts post installation. I know while you are setting up your ZC on a server you are writing certain specs to your CUSTOM/includes/configure.php I've recently attempted to move my ZC from my localhost to a real host. I've tried desperately to get my ZC rolling again and have been unsuccessful thus far so I am starting over (shouldn't take that long)
One wrench that I've encountered is that the host I'm using has supplied me with a temporary URL for development purposes until my domain resolves to their nameservers. I'm reinstalling on my new host, www.medialayer.net they've supplied me with the temporary URL: http://rome.medialayer.net/~ctgadmin/
ZC's URL is: http://rome.medialayer.net/~ctgadmin/shop (when you click this link the url tries to resolve back to http://rome.medialayer.net/shop you have to then add back in the /~ctgadmin/ before the shop URL to get to ZC. I'm not sure if this is due to my host setup or ZC... probably my host.)
As you can see none of the images or css is loading properly. My host can set up a subdomain upon request if needed... I am tempted to do so.
NOTE I just tried reinstalling ZC and this was at the bottom which may be the answer to my question.
Will me altering my configure file screw up my ZC's database ability to pull in product info from said DB? (Are they linked?) If I manually change the configuration file's temporary URL's from what they are now to a new one will the DB remain intact and fully functional?)
