    Default Credit Card Declined when purchasing downloadable products.

    I have a product that I want to make available for downloads. The settings are as follows:
    Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required
    Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules
    Products Quantity Box Shows: No, Do not show Quantity Box

    Option Name: File Format (Radio)
    Option Value: zip

    On Attribute Settings
    Enable Downloads: true
    Download by Redirect: true

    When viewing the product page, the attribute is displayed and selected since there's only one and gets added to cart without any issues. When making payment I get the following message: Your card has been declined. Please re-enter your card information, try another card, or contact the store owner for assistance.

    This only happens with this particular product. I'm using zencart 1.3.8a an have linkpoint API on TESTING: Successful.

    Anybody has any ideas, please let me know.

    Additional Notes about Downloads and Shipping Costs
    Downloads know there are no shipping costs automatically due to the fact that you added a Download filename to the Attribute.
    Thus, Downloads should NOT be marked as Always Free Shipping, and should NOT be marked as Virtual Products.

    Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned above. The product is not set to virtual. I followed all the guidelines from the tutorial and I'm still getting the same message. In fact, I have other downloadable products that are set to free and work fine. That's why I'm so confused about this one.

    If setup correctly, and the Product is Free ... how is it you are even seeing the Link Point payment module?

    A Free Order with should only see The Zen Cart FREE CHARGE CARD freecharger Payment Module ...

    No, let me explain. Apparently I made it confusing.

    The free download works. It completes the order and takes me to the download (success) page.

    The paid-for download however declines the credit card payment every time.

    Here are the settings I have:

    Under Product
    Product is Free: No
    Product is Call for Price: No
    Product Priced by Attributes: No

    Product is Virtual: No, Shipping Address Required
    Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules
    Products Quantity Box Shows: No, Do not show Quantity Box

    Under Attributes Controller
    Option name: Download
    Option Value: Zip File

    I don't know what I'm missing to make this work. Thanks for your help

    Try deleting the Download Attribute on the product and re-adding it and configuring it ...

    Sounds odd that a download attribute does this to your Link Point ...

    I did that. Well, not exactly. I changed the attribute not deleted it. At first I had it set up as:

    Option Name: File Format (Radio)
    Option Value: zip

    Now is

    Option name: Download (Radio)
    Option Value: Zip File

    I will delete the above mentioned attribute and let you know...

    I take that back, I can't delete it because I have other products linked to that attribute, but those products work fine.

    Now I'm more confused than ever. The attribute works for free products and if I remove the attribute from the pay-for product in question the sale goes through.

    I'm so lost on this one...

    The idea is to go to the Attributes Controller and find this Product and on this Product only delete the Attribute for the download and re-add it again ...

    Do you have any special characters or spaces in the filename of the download for this Product?

    Does it have the green dot next to it?

    Is it in the /download directory?

    Thanks for your reply,

    I deleted the attribute from that product. I reassigned the original option name: File Format and option value: zip, just like the other products. The file name has only letters and numbers, no spaces or special characters and the dot is green. The file is in the download folder.

    Still, no luck
