Inserting New products on site home page

Hi,
Im running 1.3.8a. I would like to insert the "New products" listing on the home page (index.php) of my web site but cant figure for the life of me how to do it. Ive been searching the forums for an hour but dont see anything directly related to what im trying to do. The index file is in the root of my www directory. Im not talking about the main store page. Any help would be appreciated.

Normally it's on by default (as long as you have some new products that is!). Are you using a template that has it turned off. The setting for it is the top one on the Admin > Configuration > Index Listing page.

Also a URL is always helpful in cases like this, as we will spot all sorts of things that you might not think to be significant.

Yeah my default page is not my cart default page. I have an index that points to the zen cart site located at http://thumpercrazy.com. I wanted to do an include of the new products box at http://thumpercrazy.com/store into the first index page. Tall order I know.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Ive installed it and tweaked it. Works well. I have a question about it though. Is there a way I can have my products displayed in a row instead of a column? Also, Is there any way to display more items then three? Thanks for all the help.
