sidebox controller not working

hi guys

had been developing a site for a friend on an old version

but decided to move to new server and do clean install of latest version

moved my template files to the new version and the layout boxes controller was set to the default settings

when i went to start rearranging the layout of the sideboxes they don't change from the default setting

what's missing or what am i doing wrong ?

It's not possible to just "move" your original template over, because a new version will have numerous code changes, and dbase changes.

You have to UPGRADE to a new version.

Part of this process is making sure that any CUSTOM files (such as those in your custom template) conform to any modified code protocols in addition to retaining your customisations.

If you are experiencing problems in ADMIN, bear in mind that there are no overrides for admin. You should be using the new version's files.

Only suggestion I can make is to go back to square one and do a proper upgrade.
