    Default complete green horn

I am totally out of my depth

But am having fun learning, I have got myself a domain and have managed to download Zen cart.

When I first opened the web page a had a couple of warning about security and deleting installation files. I was also unable to get into my admin area as the passwords didn't work, nor did the password e-mail reminder work.

I had my domain provider doa test and it appears that my IP adress is not located at my domain.

seeing as I cant get into admin, and e-mails are not coming through to me I was wondering if I could get my passwords and usernames for my zen card sortwere through my domain provider, or am I talking nonsense?

Only if your Host is aware and supports Zen Cart and knows how to do this.

They have to first sort your IP issue which is not a Zen Cart issue.

How sis you install Zen Cart? Did you use Fantastico or do a manual install?

Hi Kobra, I did a quick install of my domain site DreamHost, do think I should contact them?

Oh dear - you might want to search the forum for your host and see what others have experienced.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.

Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.

    Thank you Kim,
I have sent an e-mail to my domain providers to see if they can help.

After some help from my mates in IT my Zen Cart site is up.

It was however hardly a one click install implied on the Dream Host site!

I have ordered the new manual so hopefully it should be plain sailing from now on.
