    Default Flash Problems

The latest issue is with a flash file that I bought through flashden. Its a flash carousel and I am trying to put it on my main page. As you can see at http://www.activatemediainc.com/demo_store/ I am having a few problems getting it going.

This might have to do with the way the flash files are set up. There is and .swf as well as an XML document which controls the features and links to the images displayed in the swf. There is also a seperate folder for the images used.

To be as specific as possible, here is the way the flash files are stored..

    /mystore/includes/templates/mytemplate/FLASH/home_page_feat_prod
    /data.xml
    /index.html
    /swobject.js
    /viewer.fla
    /viewer.swf
    /Assets/all the pictures are here..

Any help would be great as I have read many threads that haven't helped and I am stumped.

    Thanks
    -Buck

So I think I have come closer to understanding my issue..
Since there are multiple files and a linked XML file, there is some disconnect since I can't have all of the files together. I think this is why part of my flash movie shows up but the controls are messed up and the pictures are missing.

Example.. I think all of the files (.swf, .xml, images folder, etc..) want to stay together. However, the mainpage is loading from includes/templates/mytemplate/common/ and the flash files are from includes/templates/mytemplate/FLASH/

I'm not sure how to get this to work.
Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

Helped forum member Derwin awhile ago with similar problem
adding flash to define main page..thread can be found at

Several pages so you may have to go forward and or
    back a page...basically, imperative folders/files for flash
are called correctly in your coding.

    Thanks for the reply Misty.
Turns out that I forgot to change some url info in the actionscript. Once that was figured out, it didn't matter where the file were.

    Its up and running.

    Thanks again for the help!
